FAQ.

I’m new to exercise, will this help me?

100% YES! We’ve worked with hundreds of clients and have equipment and (custom made) programs appropriate for people of all skill levels, from those brand new to exercise all the way to international athletes.

How many hours a week will this take, I’m already very busy?

All of our programs are flexible to you, however, this specific offer is for 4 x 1 hour group Personal Training sessions to be taken over a two week period. So, 4 hours in total! Extra gym sessions are up to you, we will of course advise on what you should be doing, but that is all included in the price.

I’m in my 50/60’s, will this work for me?

Yes, this is one of the most common questions we receive. Our programs are customised with each client in mind. We have a range of clients with our current youngest being 18 and our eldest 81!

I have an injury, can I still do this?

In short, yes! As long as your doctor has said you can exercise, we can work around nearly any obstacle. Adam is a fully qualified doctor and we have a lot of experience in adapting our coaching approach around injuries, travel, holidays and hectic lifestyles.

What do I need to bring to the gym?

Just make sure to wear clothing you are comfortable in and bring yourself a drink.

What happens if a stricter lockdown is enforced?

If you are in the middle of your two week challenge and this happens, we will happily provide the sessions for you as ‘virtual personal training’, which we have done for clients in the past. If the gym is forced to shut again, or you cannot use the facility, we do offer online coaching as a service, for details please email us. 

What time are the group sessions?

Our standard session times are 10.00, 17.00, 18.00, 19.00 Monday-Friday, though there is flexibility in there. 

Over time, we’ve found these are our most popular slots that work for our clients.

What happens after the challenge, can I still use the gym?

Once you have finished the challenge, we offer a few options moving forwards. 

Regardless of what you choose, we will ensure that you finish the two week challenge with a plan in place to continue your journey.

Most people finish the challenge, then move onto the next step in our introductory process, which is built to further develop what you’ve achieved in the two week challenge. 

Alternatively, if you’re feeling confident, you may move onto a monthly membership at the gym to continue your journey with us.

For those not in a situation to move onto a monthly membership, we also offer pay as you go gym sessions (subject to space availability), which need booking in advance. 

We know how frustrating it can be to struggle with your health and fitness goals.

That’s why we opened ASC Performance.

Rachael is our head coach and runs the majority of coaching at ASC Performance, whilst Adam (a doctor, with a Masters in Clinical Exercise Science) works behind the scenes at the gym and runs the online side of things.

Together, we have created a two week experience that you can take part in (for a significantly reduced cost) where we’ll help you kickstart your health and fitness journey.

We have over 20 years worth of combined experience in the fitness industry, in that time, we have seen lots of fads come and go.

The last thing we want to do is create another complicated, confusing program.

That’s why we’ve created our two week gym challenge.

Here’s what happens:

You hit the sign up button and pay (£99) £30 (Limited time).

We will send you a link to our sign up form where you tell us about your goals and what you want out of your time with us.

Once you’ve completed that, Rachael will give you a call to get you booked in.

Then, it starts…

Two weeks of gym access, four group personal training sessions and your own program.

In that two weeks you will have access to both coaches.

We will help you map out the steps needed to progress as quickly as possible.

Guide you through your workouts.

Teach you the basics of strength training.

Discuss simple (but effective) nutrition strategies.

Help you come up with a plan for your future, to create clarity around your goals.

At this point, you’re probably wondering ‘What’s the catch?’

The only thing we ask of challenge participants is to give the personal training sessions their best effort and to engage with us during their kickstart.
